Tyndale Seminary's FIRST TEAM
Faithful Intercessor's Regularly Supporting Tyndale - December 2022Greetings from Tyndale Seminary!
The Advent Season is a special time when we focus on celebrating Immanuel, God with us (Matt. 1:23), as prophesied by Isaiah. He came in the flesh to dwell among us. He revealed Himself to us to rescue us from eternal death. Let us celebrate this Christmas the ever-abiding presence of the Prince of Peace among us. Let us all walk, encourage and remind each other that our loving God is indeed “with us.” We pray that 2023 will be an extraordinary year of walking with the Lord in community in a manner that brings glory to Him alone.

Please Pray for Our Students, Faculty and Staff
This fall term we have been able to experience life as we knew it before the pandemic. It was so refreshing to be able to do things together again: graduation, convocation, student trips, in-person classes, Thanksgiving dinner, etc. Please pray that our students finish their exam period well and that they are refreshed with needed rest during the upcoming two-week Christmas break. Pray also for our faculty as they enter a busy season of grading papers and conducting exams, and our staff as they make sure all is in place for the close of the calendar year and the beginning of the winter/spring terms.

Tyndale Friends’ Dinner
On October 8, we organized a Tyndale Friend’s Dinner. The invitation went out to alumni, donors, and Dutch board members. Three Tyndale graduates were able to share how their education and overall experience at Tyndale impacted their ministry. One current student talked about the importance of the theological education she is receiving at Tyndale and how she plans to share it with others in her own context in Mongolia after she graduates.
Africa & Americas Emphasis Week
We celebrated a special Africa & Americas Emphasis Week. Students (and spouses) from Africa and the Americas hosted a chapel service that highlighted various countries in Africa and the
Americas. The week helped all of us gain greater insight into the lives of our international and multicultural student body, their homelands, cultures, and families.

Please Pray for a New President
The presidential search committee of the Tyndale Board of Directors continues to interview possible candidates for Tyndale’s new president. Please pray for discernment, insight, and wisdom for the search committee members. Also pray that the right person will respond to God’s call for this very important position.
Matching Gift Campaign
We are excited to let you know about the success of the matching gift campaign, “Celebrate Our Graduates,” which was launched on 15 September. One of our most faithful donors offered to match every gift given between 15 September and 15 December 2022, up to $100,000. We are very close to reaching the set amount. Our graduates are making a significant impact around the globe for the kingdom of God. This campaign will help us continue training and discipling more Christian leaders. Your gift will double in value. Would you consider giving towards this goal?

Pray for the Tyndale Christmas Outreach
The students are planning the annual Christmas neighborhood outreach for 16 December. At that time, students and staff will be walking around our village singing to families and distributing Christian materials. Please pray for our neighbors that they would not only enjoy the caroling that take place, but would receive our gifts of the Good News during this season.
We thank all our First Team members for their prayers for the school. We ask that you continue to pray that the Lord enables many to provide gifts during this Advent Season.
Please also note that for those who purchase books and other items via Amazon, you can designate Tyndale to receive a small stipend through AmazonSmile: https://smile.amazon.com/ch/65-0154723
