On April 5th Dr. Dirk Jongkind of Tyndale House Cambridge gave our 2nd Annual Brotzman Lectures. Dirk, a Tyndale Theological Seminary Alumnus, honored his former Hebrew professor, Ellis Brotzman, for whom the lectures are named, and blessed over 90 of us (our faculty, students, and guests) with lectures that exalted Christ, gave us greater confidence in the Word of God, and made me just want to read my Bible (esp. the NT) over and over again.
In partnership with geloofstoerusting.nl and TGC Nederlands, Dirk then gave the same three lectures in Dutch on the following day (6 April) to a crowd of over 40 people. This has become our One-Day Predikers en Leiders conferentie. It was really great on both days to have numerous people to Tyndale that had never been with us before, and to be able to provide such excellent content for all through Dirk.
These were two wonderful days at Tyndale Theological Seminary! Dirk’s lectures were brilliant; intellectually stimulating and heart stirring as he unpacked the theme, “The Bible and the Words of Jesus” in three lectures (available in English and in Dutch).
It was lovely to meet many visitors and see lots of old friends, too.
