Vice President of Advancement
Overview
Tyndale Theological Seminary, a ministry training institution based in the Netherlands, seeks a seasoned and mission-driven professional to serve as its Vice President of Development, acting as the seminary's representative and fundraising coordinator in the United States. The successful candidate will cultivate and nurture relationships with potential donors, churches, and like-minded organizations to secure funding for the seminary's global theological education initiatives.

Location: Remote (Home Office in the United States) with occasional travel
Reports to: President, Tyndale Theological Seminary (Badhoevedorp, the Netherlands)
Job Type: Part-time, Self-Supporting Missionary Position
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Fundraising:
Develop and execute a comprehensive US-based fundraising strategy.
Identify and cultivate relationships with gift granting individuals, foundations, and churches.
Donor Relations and Stewardship:
Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective donors, ensuring their engagement and satisfaction with the seminary’s mission.
Provide regular updates and reports to donors on the impact of their giving.
Representation and Partnerships:
Serve as the primary US representative for Tyndale Theological Seminary, promoting its mission and programs to various audiences.
Foster partnerships with churches, Christian organizations, and educational institutions to expand the seminary’s network and support base.
Event Planning and Participation:
Organize and participate in fundraising events, conferences, and seminars in the US to raise awareness and funds for the seminary.
Represent the seminary at relevant Christian and educational conferences.
Communication and Reporting:
Prepare and submit regular fundraising reports to the President and the seminary’s Board.
Collaborate with the seminary’s communications team to ensure consistent
messaging in the US.
Desirable Experience, Abilities and Skills
Proven success in Christian non-profit, educational or business setting
Experience with donor relationship management and major gift solicitation
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Strategic thinking with the ability to set and achieve ambitious fundraising goals
Computer skills
Ability to work independently from a home office with occasional travel
Strong network within US Christian communities and churches is a plus
Qualifications
Education: Degree in a relevant field (Non-Profit Management, Business, Theology, etc.); advanced degree preferred
