Thanksgiving Celebration

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!” Psalm 100:5

Many cultures have a tradition of celebrating the harvest season by recognizing God as the One who provides. Tyndale's Thanksgiving Celebration is based on the American tradition of a special turkey dinner that occurs with family and friends. The Tyndale community comes together as a family to share the tasks of cleaning, cooking, setting up, and decorating to create a delightful evening of worship, great food, fellowship, and laughter. It is an amazing experience to hear 120 people from over 20 different nations, all crammed together in our dining hall, singing the doxology together in worship of our Great God. It is also a real joy to experience the talent show that follows the meal. We appreciated those who are more seriously talented and we also laughed until we cried with those who shared their gifts of comedy. The talents showcased are often surprising revelations into the different personalities. Everyone from the youngest to the oldest experienced the Tyndale family at its finest.

This is also a beautiful opportunity each year to pause and thank God for all that He has abundantly provided for us through giving us His son, Jesus.
