Human Resources Manager
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions for the Seminary. This position ensures efficient operations, regulatory compliance, and a positive, mission-centered workplace environment. The role requires strong organizational skills, confidentiality, sound judgment, and the ability to support both leadership and staff effectively while upholding the values and mission of Tyndale Theological Seminary.

Supervision Exercised: None at present (may coordinate volunteers or student workers as needed)
Liaise: President, Faculty, Dean of Students, Project Manager, External Agencies
Number of hours: Part time - 16 hours per week but flexible

Responsibilities
Administer all human resource functions including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and personnel records management
Maintain and update employee handbook and human resources policies and procedures in compliance with employment laws and regulations
Maintain and update the organization's job description handbook to ensure all position descriptions are accurate, current, and properly documented
Manage and oversee all leaves of absence and disability claims in accordance with policy and legal requirements
Oversee safeguarding compliance, including background checks and mandatory
training for all staff and volunteersServe as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters and provide guidance and support to supervisors on personnel issues
Oversee the performance review process, providing guidance and support to both employees and supervisors
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in accordance with legal and
organizational standardsWork with Management to identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities to enhance team skills and career growth
Collaborate with Management to assess and recruit for staffing needs to support the Seminary's operations.
Assist the President in advancing and supporting a healthy organizational culture
Ensure records retention compliance and document management

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, high level of discretion, and strong
conflict-resolution skillsAbility to interpret and apply relevant employment laws
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Dutch is an asset)
Basic computer skills and experience in Google Workspace
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A commitment to the mission, values, and Statement of Faith of Tyndale Theological seminary and a commitment to the local church and a lifestyle of faith
Experience in working with non-profits, churches, educational environment, schools or seminaries preferred
Qualifications
Experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Requirements
Part-time; Flexible schedule with some weeks requiring more work than others.
